RECENT NEWS: 7 September 2006 -
"The Office of Fair Trading announces
investigation into bank overdraft charges"
Ever been charged by your bank or card provider for slipping into the red, going over your overdraft limit or having a direct debit or cheque returned? Well, most of us have, and many of us have been penalised heavily for it - often when it wasn't our fault or was the result of a tiny miscalculation. And as we all know, those penalty charges can really mount up!
However, there is a way to have all bank charges you've paid over the last six years returned to you. Just let PFR take care of it.
Having taken extensive specific legal advice regarding bank charges, we have discovered that in most circumstances, banks and credit card companies have no legal right to charge high fees for:
• unpaid items
• going overdrawn without arrangement
• exceeding an overdraft limit
Although banks and credit card companies will not publicly acknowledge this, they know they are not permitted to charge fees that vastly exceed the real cost of administering your unpaid item or unauthorised borrowing. After all, a computer generated letter simply doesn't cost £30 however, this is the amount a bank will typically charge. It is, quite simply, profiteering and therefore we have the right to challenge them on your behalf.
If you feel you have been the victim of excessive charges from your bank or credit card company, then there is an excellent chance we can obtain a full refund of these fees. Simply supply us with brief details of your circumstances, and we will contact you and let you know if we can help.
What's more, we work on a RESULTS ONLY basis - if you receive no refund, you pay no fees. And rest assured, challenging your charges will NOT affect your credit rating.
